Simmetry Communications will host its second annual Text Fest on October 4, 2009 from 2 p.m.- 5 p.m.

This event will be fun for the entire family! Leading up to the event Simmetry will hold 10 texting contests at various locations offering the opportunity to become a qualifier for the ultimate texting competition held on October 4th at the Oakley Lindsay Center in Quincy, IL. If you are a texting addict and want to showcase your skills this is your chance! To qualify for the main event simply come to one of the qualifying events below. All you have to do is win the mini event OR if you can't make it to one of our events below, go to a Simmetry store and sign up to be one of 50 random contestants chosen to compete on the day of the main event (October 4th).

1. July 11th – Quincy Live Remote at 5317 Oak Street, Quincy: 11am – 1pm
2. July 16th – Quincy Gems Ball Park Quincy, IL: 5pm – 7pm
3. July 18th – Hannibal Live Remote at 301 North 3rd Street, Hannibal, MO: 11am – 1pm
4. August 4th – Adams County Fair Grounds, Mendon, IL: 2pm – 5pm
      Canceled due to weather. This event is rescheduled for Wednesday, August 5th at the
      Brown County Fair in Mat. Sterling from 5:30-7:30
5. August 8th – Hannibal Movie Night, Hannibal, MO: 6pm – 9pm
6.   August 22nd – Macomb Live Remote, Macomb, IL: 11am – 2pm
7.   August 30th – Night at the Raceways, Quincy, IL 4pm – 6pm
8.   September 10th – Little Jess Jeep – WGEM Jeep Giveaway – Quincy, IL: 4pm – 6pm
9. WGEM Parking Lot – WGEM Jeep Giveaway – Quincy, IL: 4pm – 6pm

In the case of bad weather or circumstances beyond our control, cancellations of events will be posted on the Simmetry website.
